twin rack steering

replace twin cable rack steering to twin cable with one rack behind steering wheel.what i have now is two cables going to motor with each having own rack attached to other ends.what i am looking to buy is two cables at motor end going to only one rack on other end.so if i buy new back mount rack steering helm were only has place for one rack to attach will this work?this is for a 1990 envinrude 150hp. [h=1][/h]

Ayuh,... Donno,.... Which is why yer further ahead to buy a helm, 'n cable Kit,...

That way, ya know it'll fit together,....
