I talked the wife into letting me get an end of year good deal (Glastron) AND keep my other boat (Stingray) to sell in the spring. Had both in the garage... swapping things over. Just had to take a pic since this won't happen ever again. Or at least until we get our next boat :D Makes me smile everytime I look at this pic...

That's very cool!! I just sold my other boat last weekend, but for 4 weeks I had 2 boats! A 19' bow rider and a 24' Formula.. I didn't even have a chance to list my old boat before I had a buyer... But the best part is that I sold my old boat for $5,500... I bought it for $5,500 two years ago!! :) I was going to wait until the Spring to sell, but with an opportunity to get what I paid for it, I couldn't turn it down!

I bet you can't wait to get that Stingray out of the garage so you can get back to playing hopscotch!

You should like that Glastron. They spent a ton of money developing that hull (including the shape) and making the machine that forms it.

I am actually in Wichita, KS but i have a lot of family in the OKC area. Lots of nice lakes down there...

I loved it on the test drive. I can't believe the lack of bow rise and with no tabs or whale tail... while spinning an ol aluminum 3 blade 23p. She's very stable on the water... I love it. Havent taken the Glastron out any since the purchase. I am concentrating on getting everything i want taken care of... and be ready to go in Spring!

I knew someone was going to have a look around and make some sort of comment. I have a 4 year old girl and an 18 month girl. But at least they love playing in the garage and outside. I know they are going to turn my hair grey in a few years :)

Yes there are a lot of nice lakes, i just wish i had more time to get out there. We only got our boat a few months back, and just recently got a solid boat. I mainly go to thunderbird. I use to go to all the city lakes as a kid but they are drying up thanks to the lack of rain. I want to get out to arbuckle lake, heard it was a awesome lake to get on. Have fun up there in kanasas. Enjoy the rain that is heading north.

Only 2? A man can't have too many boats.

Nice thing about having a few, especially old ones, is it increases the odds that one will work when you want it!

I hear a lot of people here looking to buy a boat big enough to take the extended family of 12 out, but at the same time being restricted by expense, tow vehicle, storage, ramp size, etc. Going out in a large group with two boats can be more fun--one can be the slow, cruise or anchor boat and the other the fast and tubing boat. And you can have a better day in one of them when the crowd is light or you go alone.

Re: Two boats at once... probably won't happen again.

I actually see the start of a major disorder (?) here.....

This is common to iboaters......Especially in the restoration forum.
In a year or two....The issue could grow to where you have 5 or 6 boats....

The disorder was discovered about 6 years ago by a guy named Robert (Bob) Griffis. October 27, 1948-November 29 2010. RIP- AKA.... Tashasdaddy.

Tashasdaddy discovered a syndrome called MBS.......(Multliple Boat Syndrome)

I am afraid you are showing the initial stages of it......
It starts exactly how you are describing......"ill just get this one now and sell the other in the spring when prices are higher" ....Well......We have seen it before.

There is no cure

May i suggest that you sell your house and buy a large acreage....one where the local laws will allow you storage.......this acreage must have a 10,000 sq foot shop/storage area.
However, the acreage alone will work in the beginning till you build your shop.

The cars stay outside........The shop is for the boats .Boats only like trucks that pull them to the water. But do not like cars.......Boats are kinda funny like that.

For you and your boats to be happiest.......May i suggest that the acreage be located on a river, lake, or ocean.......
