Wow, that was awesome. I learned alot. I have a couple of questions,<br /><br />If the transfer port and the exhaust port were further apart, would that help widen the power band? The stroke would be longer, so more torque?<br /><br />They don't put these headers on outboards, do they?

not really mnmfors<br /><br />the whole point of the exercise, is to get rid of as much exhaust gas as possible, without taking the new intake charge with it.. <br /><br />it depends on alot of factors, port size and position are only a part of the equation..<br /><br />the single biggest factor to powerband size and width is the expansion chamber..<br /><br />so what do you mean by moving the exhaust further from the transfer, further in what direction???<br /><br />rgds<br /><br />Frank

Frank, I meant for the transfer and exhaust being further apart. I was thinking that would get more fuel into the exhaust to ram back in quickly. I guess I didnt understand as well as I thought
