wood chisel, flat prybar, wire wheel, wire brush

Some of it you'll just have to dig out any way you can. You be most productive if you can wedge any of the aforementioned implements in there to just seperate the stuff from the boat.

Never tried it but heard a string trimmer works wonders.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yup! I've tried just about everything mentioned including the sawzall. I haven't tried the weed whacker but it's something to think about. Someone told me there is a liquid that will desolve the foam but they couldn't remember the name.

Hey I386, that's some project you have going. I'm also restorting my boston whaler and just took up the floor and refurbished. I also removed the tank and I'm having one rebuilt. New wiring, seats, lights and all that good stuff that will make my boat outstanding as only she deserves.

Thanks everybody for all your help and opinions. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I got what I could out with a flat blade shovel, then wrapped it up with the weed eater. Worked great, uses LOTS of line, eye protection is mandatory!!

well here's the scoop. Tonight I used a wood shim and a mallot to remove the foam. To get up the corners I used a putty knife and was finished in 45 minutes.

I had to remove my gas tank which was embedded in 4lb foam. I found that my best tool was a long 1.25 in wide drill bit. Hooked that onto my drill and made swiss cheese out of the foam, breaking it up enough for the shop vac to suck up the pieces.

when you do the 2 part foam does the Plywood need to be down? when i ripped up the floor on mine it looked like it was done with many.... and many voids and then the wood was put ontop.... ps i hate canada for the simple part when water gets in under foam it makes a mess of everything..

I live in Canada it's my home a great place and i have been here eversince i was 1 .... but blood is thicker then water, unless the water is frozen.... and when it's frozen in a boat that means lots of issues....... as for where im from im Polish.... i Polish on and i Polish off
