Two Questions re Evinrude trolling motor and 85HP Motor

1. I have a 92 57 trust evenrude electric bow mount 12/24 volt trolling motor and I just broke the steel cable that holds the motor shaft straight. Not the foot control cable. Where can I buy this cable on the internet<br />2. I have a 92 85HP V4 Evinrude tiller. The kill switch will not shut off the motor. How do I check to make certain the kill switch is broken and where can I get one. <br /><br />Thanks

To the v4: You can trace the wire from the power pack to the kill switch, usually yellow/black stripe. Seperate it at a connector andgrount it with a piece of wire. If you loose spark, either rest of wire or kill switch is bad. Sometimes a pack goes bad and motor cant be killed, but rare. Usually error is in the wiring or connector has to be cleaned, which is where I would start. Some of a tiller motor !!

Are you talking about the connector at the end of the kill switch?? I placed a ohum meter in the connector on the switch side and the other to ground. I have no reading when I push the switch.
