I am pretty sure that I have a two stroke engine, but am not 100% sure. Don't have the owners manual, just the Clymers. How can I tell? It has two spark plugs and needs oil mixed. Is that all you need to tell?

I have an 83 Evinrude 50 hp attached to a 17' Bass Tracker Tournament tx.

Thanks!
Jason

Two stroke with 50:1 oil/gas mix

1 pint of TCW-3 Marine 2 stroke oil per 6 gallons of regular gas. Don't bother with premium grade gas it will not improve anything.

Bob

It is 2-cycle, which means the same thing. I think the 'stroke' has you confused, due to "bore and stroke",which is totally different. Yours is 2stroke. use 3oz of TC-W3 oil to 1 gallon mixture.
