1995 Evinrude 115 hp crossflow

Right between the lower unit (gear case) and the exhaust housing, on the front end of the motor, is a hole I guess is for vent purposes. When I run my motor on muffs I have water squirting out of that hole. I have never noticed that before. Is that normal and if not where could the water be coming from? Maybe a O ring in the pump? Got the boat in July and had a new water pump installed right after I picked it up. This is not the tell tale stream. This is at the bottom of the exhaust housing and squirts right back on the bottom of the boat.
Thanks for any thoughts.

This is from a wet exhaust housing, what you see is water leaking down from this sleeve. It is intended to make the engine run more silent. It is a water barrier between the inner, and outer exhaust sleeve, What you see is normal.
