Type C L/U Gear Lube

Has anyone used the Starbrite brand of Type C l/u gear lube? Local marine shop sells it for $3.95 a quart...OMC brand sells for around $8.00 a quart.<br />I'm working on a 71 rude with selectric drive.

I'd go with the OMC stuff. You only change it once or twice a season anyway. Why take a chance?
