Just bought 1987 Wellcraft Monte Carlo 5.7L engins. Want to know if they have the electronic ignition? or points.

Its most likely electronic, but it is different than your typical auto unit.
Take the cap off and have a look!

If it's OEM, You have the Thunderbolt IV electronic ignition.
