 for use on the aluminum???? I hope not. For use on wood being used for a deck? Hit up US Composites and on occasion there are some deals on ebay.

Now for an epoxy to be used on the aluminum gluvit :)

I HOPE you mean, a product like Bob suggested, i.e. GLUVIT. It is epoxy based. Coat-It is basically the same stuff and a little cheaper. There is also a product called SteelFlex.

You could get away with the fiberglass polyester resin that HD, NAPA or even walmart sells just to do the wood decking. There is no real value in using epoxy vs polyester resin for the deck. The deck is only going to have a people load and is not "structural" in the sense of keeping the hull floating. If you are lucky enough some stores sell it in a gallon container which is even cheaper.

Re: Type of epoxy to use?

NOTE:*** If you use the Lowes or HD POLY resin you need to know a couple of things. 1.) It is WAXED. 2.) You need to use Fiberglass Mat with it. Without the mat it will dry very brittle and crack which will allow water intrusion into the plywood. The mat will keep this from happening. Since it is waxed, you will need to put additional coats of resin/mat on before it completely drys OR if it drys you will have to sand it using 60 grit paper to remove the wax to allow the next layer to BOND to the previous one. IF you use Epoxy you should know that it has NO UV protection and the Sun will eventually cause it to break down and it will also crack and peel. Paint it and the problem goes away.

With Carpet NO paint required. To my knowledge NO, neither of them sell Epoxy by the Gallon. But I am Sure if you call a local Body shop they could give you a Local supplier instead of having to order and ship it.
These guys are in HackenSack and their product is a good one. Give em a call and tell em what you're doin and they can sell you the right product.

US composites for glass and resins, give them the dimensions and they'll tell you how much you need.
