I didn't actually see this but a friend of mine who used to drive for this ski team in Madison Wi told me this. A former driver for this team was hot dogging after a practice with quite a few people in the boat and he turned hard and then accelerated. The boat went under in the low corner and took on enough water to almost sink it completely. He then tried to nurse it over to the landing which wasn't too far away but when he got almost there the engine inhaled a big gulp and self destructed. You'd think he'd done enough damage for one day but no. They manage to get the boat pulled up on to the trailer and he drives out. The weight was too much with all that water and the trailer caved in, flat down onto the ramp.

Re: U-Boat Captain

Watched a guy a few years back do something similar with a Honda 4 stroker on the back: forgot about the exhaust, loaded all the passengers and gear in the stern so that the exhaust was submerged and that was one very sick engine when it came back.

Stupid enough? Nope! He then decides to quit while he's behind and yells at his passengers to stay put on the boat while he gets the trailer, something about "adding stability when towing up the ramp"

The ending was the same as yours.........collapsed trailer and people laughing and pointing :D
