I need to do some work on my trailer, before I pull my boat out of the water next month. The u-bolts look like they will break if I try to loosen them. Can someone tell me a good place online to purchase new ones ? I'm not having any luck locally. There are (8) holding the axles to the springs (2 1/2" sq tubing) and (6) that hold the axle assembly to the frame (1 1/2" x 5" channel)
Thanks, eddy622611

Have you tried a local auto and truck SPRING shop which can bend new u-bolts to match the old ones ?

Yea I would look around. Its pretty standard to have a place nearby that can make them. Many places will have them done within an hour or so, as long as you don't bug them during lunch.

Thanks for all the help. The nearest shop dosen't care to help anybody unless you have a fleet of trucks and deep pockets. The next closest spring shop is a hour away. I am trying to find some that I can order and have UPS bring to me. If we need anything more than bread, milk or gasoline we have at least a 20 mile ride. Thanks again, eddy622611

I bought all my trailer parts from http://www.wholesalemarine.com/ and was very pleased with the prices and service. (I did try iboats first but they didn't have everything I needed and I didn't want to pay multiple shipping fees)

Try Northern Tool if you have one nearby. That's where I got alot of replacement parts for my trailer restoration.
