U-joint assembly does not fit Gimabl bearing

I have a 1996 Volvo DP-S with the Sx-C upper unit. I am replacing the U-joint assembly (see here). The drive shaft taper does not fit the Gimbal bearing (Shaft is about 3mm smaller in diameter than the inner ring of the gimbal bearing.) Any ideas about what's going on? Is this a manufacturing mistake? the u-joint assembly is an aftermarket made by glmmarine.com.

Assuming the area you are referring to is where the 2 orings go on the shaft, then you need to contact GLM, that diameter is the same on ALL drives with gimbal bearings.
