If I decide to have one of the bidders pick up the boat and deliver it to me, what is stopping them from stealing my boat? does they guarantee delivery? am I covered like buying something via paypal or ebay?

Get insurance on the boat before shipping it in case it's stolen (by the shipper or anyone else). Check the shipper out before committing. Make sure he's a real shipper (has a DOT number, etc), not just some yahoo with a broken down pickup truck! Follow the U-Ship fraud prevention guidelines:

Has anoyone heard of someone being scammed on u-ship? anything else I should look for besides DOT number?
