What is the secret to viewing anything on the boat info site???

Boatinfo - Mercruiser Service Manual nr. 5 - 1978-1993 - TR & TRS Sterndrives

I have tried and iphone, ipad, and a laptop with both firefox and IE and pressed the compatibility button and updated Flash....... i get nothing but a blank book and a toolbar at the botttom which lets me browse through a bunch of.... blank pages....ugh

You need the latest from Adobe reader and/or I believe Adobe reader flash

I see manual number 5 is not showing up for me either but #7 does http://boatinfo.no/lib/mercruiser/manuals/mercruiser7.html Does #7 work for you?

While that site seems to download slow, it seems like manual #5 does not want to show it's contents. Manual #1 is so big it takes a few minutes to load and show it's contents.

Do you need #5?

I'm using OpenSuse Linux 12.3, KDE desktop 4.105.1, Firefox 26 for Opensuse Linux and all the other books display correctly.

It also appears that you're using a MAC? and it's possible that the flash version is old.......But If it works on the other manuals, then it's not likely your computer.

The Iphone and Ipad uses that crummy Safari browser (No flash) ......do a little research on it, it uses KHTML and Webkit originally by the KDE people...... The default browser for the K Desktop Environment (KDE) is "Konqueror" (Safari IS based on Konqueror)

So I tried opening the site with Konqueror and it worked. One of the pages looked a little strange but it opened the other manuals ok.

You might send them an email. It appears broke. I can open all the other manuals with no problem.
