Ultra HPF Gearcase lube color?

I changed my lower unit lube Sunday with what I am almost positive was Ultra HPF. It was yellow in color. I bought it about a year ago. I came up just a little short of the check hole, so today I went to buy some more lube to add. I took out the top plug, then the bottom and inserted the pump. I started pumping the new lube which I am positive was HPF (container looked the same) and it was a dark greenish color. I went ahead pumping until I ran some of the yellow lube out of the top.
My question is: what is the deal with the different colors, and should I go get more of the green stuff and pump the yellow completely out? Did the colors change last year, or, does it change over time?
Any help would be appreciated...

What is the new stuff for the e-tec called? Will it work for any lower unit?
