I am wanting to attach UMHW to my Sport Jet. Wanted to know if anyone has a sure fire way to do this ? My friend has a River Rocket by Rock Proof boats . I have looked at the hull and it seems they use stainless bolts and rubber washers on the inside of the boat to attach it to the hull . I am planning to make this a winter project on my Sport Jet but wanted to make sure this could be done. Any ideas would be appreciated .

I believe its meant to be uhmw. You can attach it using countersink bolts then a rubber washer / fender washer / lock nut and double sided tape but you have to be careful as uhmw is not thermally stable. I would suggest leaving it in direct sun light so its warm when its applied then it will not warp up between the bolts when it cools down.

UHMW

Cutting board type material?

Oh carp, you want to install it as a rock proof hull bottom treatment:

By stock in 3M for their 5200......... That's a whole heck of a lot of screw holes to be sealed....... :faint2:

Good luck on your project.

BTW: the 5200 doesn't really want to stick to UHMW, nor does much, so I wasn't suggesting it as an adhesive for the UHMW, just to seal the screw holes......
