Un-Winterize

Sorry is this is a repeat or in the wrong area. However, I am a new boater and need to know if there are any tricks to "un-winterize" my boat. I have a 220hp Mercruiser that was professionally winterized last year. Other than hooking the batteries back up, is there anything else you'd recommend?

Thanks!

Re: Un-Winterize

Pakrz, If the motor is filled with Antifreeze, I would put a pan under the hull drain, and pull the drain plugs on the two manifolds (bottom near the back of each), and the two block drains (under manifolds, above oil pan), and let the AF drain into a container. You might pull the large water pump hose as well to get more of the stuff. Now reinstall the drain plugs, put on the flush device turn on the water and start the motor. Run it until it reaches operating temp, and watch for any problems with alternator, water pump, thermostat or any water leaks.
