I am going to put up front in the boat I am building a 12 gal under the deck fuel tank. The motor I have is a 1961 45 hp merc. I need to know what would be the right size fuel line to run to the motor and where would I find the part # for the bouynet fitting for the motor. The fuel tank will be about 10 feet away from the motor.
As always thanks for your help

What is it that you are trying to do? That cable is a conversion cable for use when you want to adapt your older 6 pin harness to the newer 8 pin control boxes.

I'm a little confused as to why you would like to put 12 gals of gas in front of the boat?

Re: Under the deck fuel tank

The harness that I have now is not in great condition. Has been splices in 3 places neer the control box . The plug that goes on the moton is not in the greatest condition either. What I am looking for is a new plug with good wires. The only wires that I plan running into the control box are the ones that attach to the neutral safety switch. The starter and choke I plan on running to a key switch on the dash. The tack wires will go to a new tach mounted in the dash. So if the cable will give enough wires to do that then I should be ok.
Hope that all made sence and will work.

As far as the gas tanks goes I did not want any more weight in the back of my boat that I am building. other people that build this boat put theirs up front as well. Has something to do with getting the boat up on plane.

Well, I gave you the harness p/n you require in one of your previous posts. That harness is 20' long. You haven't given the length you require but you can shorten or lengthen the 20' as you need. If there is a reason you do not want that harness, then you haven't much choice other than to rebuild the one you have.

Back on the gas tank now. I been looking at primer bulbs, need one for 5/16 hose. I see that they are all price ranges.
Is one any better than the other. Need to pump fuel about 8ft to the motor.
Do I need to buy one that cost $25. Or will one that cost $8. work just as well.
