Greetings all,
I am researching a video camera that operates like a survelance camera. Lower the camera over the side and view on a small monitor. I have seen them in catalogs in the past.
Perhaps more important does anyone have experience on using these. Especially the more inexpensive ones.
Thanks

Re: Underwater Camera

Looked into buying one at a sport fishing show last winter. They had a video of what was going on under water.I did a little research and decided not to buy one. They do apear to work, but take up alot of room on deck, and I had visions of snaging the camera and loosing the hole thing. what I did learn is to buy the camera only.you can save alot of money, and get better picture using your own monitor, the ones supplied with the cheaper units are poor quality. might want to look at replacing the cable with good downrigger cable to.Bass pro shops carry several models.

Jim
