Anybody seen a good way to build underwater docklight to attract fish?
I am just not interested in paying $ 250 for lights.
Any ideas?
thanks

Re: Underwater docklights

Back in the old days when they would let us fish from the bridges we simply lowered a Coleman lantern on a rope to about a foot above the water. Fish would flock around it like crazy.

How about a light in a waterproof plexiglass box with a piece of PVC wire conduit siliconed in? Be sure to use a GFI breaker. Hm-m-m, the code guys might not like that idea.

what about just mounting a light fixture under the dock. doesn't have to be under water to attract them.

Check out the homemade underwater LED lights made by ScarabChris over at thehulltruth.com forum. They're neat, and he sells them at a reasonable price relative to the ones commercially available.
