I was wondering if anyone knew the function of the small hose leading from the enrichener output to the crankshaft side of the oil injection pump. The fitting terminates into the cavity between the oil pump and the crankshaft driven drive. It is unclear to me if this is a crankcase vent of some kind.
This is for a 60HP 2-stroke engine.
The service manuals does not mention this hose at all. I checked the chapters on crankcase, enrichener and oil injection to no avail. Please see the enrichener diagram below, red arrow points to the hose in question.
