We just purchased an old Evinrude for our skiff, but are unsure of age and horsepower. The Serial number is 10014 09650. (The 4 may possibly be an "A". It is hard to read.) It also has a split (two hose) gas line which I am unfamiliar with. What is the purpose of the two hoses? Also, what is the oil/fuel ratio? Thanks for any help.

Re: Unidentified Old Evinrude

Welcome clieber.
Identity:

Model 10014:
Make: Evinrude
Year: 1957
HP: 10
WOT RPMS: 4000
Displacement: 16.6 cu.in. = 272.0 ccm
Cylinders: 2
Weight: 74 lbs. = 33.6 Kg
Prop: 9 x 8
Gear Ratio: 15:26
Spark plug: Champion J6C
Fuel mix: 24:1

Most that information comes from here.
Picture
A little more information on fuel mix.

You have what's known as a pressuized gas tank. Basically, your engine has no fuel pump. So pressure pulses from the crankcase are used to pressurize the tank to a couple PSI by way of a check valve and the extra line. The air pressure in the tank pushes fuel up the fuel line and into the outboard. The gas tank must be sealed for this to work.
