Hey Everyone,
I'm brand new to outboards, so forgive my ignorance. My father-in-law gave me a 15ft 88 Larson with a Mariner 60HP outboard on it. I've been having problems with it. It only boggs down when I am in the water. Rabbit Ears, it works great. I was told it was because of the impeller. When idling water bareley trickles out, but when you give it a little gas, it shoots out fine.
Brief History of problem:
Took it out Saturday, it ran fine for about 200yds or so, and when I cut down the throttle to turn and then increased again it kept rrrr, urrrr, rrrr...(Bogging out) I was told by someone it could be overheating because of the impeller being bad, so I went to look up the part number and the only number I could find is this:
A111055 Serial Number of Motor
WM-13-1 Carbureaters
P.S. I took the 2 carbs off yesterday and they look great! Should I rebuild them anyway, or just put them back on? HELP!!!
