Unknown motor I have

I found an older boat motor in my shed, while cleaning, that I have no idea what brand or year it is. The only words I could find are “high tide” on the side in red letters with a star in between the two words. Any idea what brand or year it could be?

Looks like a 1960's Johnson or Evinrude that has been repainted. High Tide may have been lettered on there to match the boat name. Just looking at the cowling shape reminds be of a 1965 I had years ago.

Looked it up. Does the motor cover look like this. Looked closer at the tag and is and OMC product. If you can decipher the model number and serial number on the internet you can find the year.

Really-----That model # indicates that it is a 9.9 / 15 HP 1990 model.----The powerhead clearly is a 9.9 / 15 HP.-----Why would you think this thing is a 1965 model.

The rear of the cover is more vertical than that picture

Just a guess from the cowling shape and memory. I couldn't see the numbers on my old laptop. At least I had the right maker.

Defo late 80’s or early 90’s evinrude twin 9.9/15.
