Most gas stations are selling unleaded gasoline with ethanol added, less than 10%. My manual says not to use more than 5%. Is the current ethanol amounts going to cause problems with older engines? 88 DT85.

Unfortunately we dont have a choice in the matter, but as long as you dont have a fiberglass or stainless tank, you should be alright. After you first start running the 10%, you may find your carbs will need a cleaning more often. I also know that some fuel lines break down with the 10%, so when in doubt change them out.

Add Stabil to your fuel. This helps a lot.
