Unsure if this part number is what I need?

I was getting ready to do the bellows/bearing job this weekend when I completely spaced the fact that I do not have a replacement shift cable. I have the 1996 Mercruiser 4.3LX with Thunderbolt ignition and the Alpha 1 Generation 2 drive (my serial numbers are in my profile at the bottom). I am pretty sure that Sierra part number 18-2190 is the ticket, but I am not sure with ALL the other numbers listed on iBoats. I do have a "dumb" question. On the shift cable bellows, on the small end there is a "open" clamp (one side of the opening has the triangle point and the other side of the opening has the triangle groove. Is there a special tool locally for these style of clamps or do you just you a standard pair of pliers/channel locks? Any input is appreciated.

Throw that crappy clip in the trash! Get a standard black cable tie about 3.2mm wide, wrap it around the shift bellows TWICE and zip it up.... Doesn't rust, doesn't pinch the bellows, never comes off... Too easy! :D

Yes, I put a cable tie on the shift bellow of my Bravo outdrive, 'cuz the metal clip version was missing. (Surveyor pointed it out during the pre-purchase inspection). it is still there 7 years later . . .
