Removed exhaust housing found all gaskets to be in good shape. But after looking real good I found a crack in the water jacket into the exhaust area. I used a Dremel tool to grind out the crack some and clean the area around the crack. and used JB weld to seal crack. I ran the motor for a good while in idle. No water on plug.

Re: Up date to head gasket help.

Glad that helped.Unfortunatly it probably won't last. The area heats up and cools down and flexes the spot.
Post a pic of the spot and your job. It's always good to see what others have done.

Re: Up date to head gasket help.

Jerry is right - given that it's around the exhaust manifold/ports the temps will make short work of JB Weld.

The only possible solution is to get it TIG welded.

Re: Up date to head gasket help.

I wish I had taken a pic. to Late now, I guess I will run it till it starts leaking again. Then pull power head so it can be TIG welded. It is at the very bottom. Looks like a bolt to long was run in from the bottom. I will let you know when it starts leaking again. Thanks for all of you help.
