Up trim is not working

my switch "up" button does not work on the throttle stick however the "down" button does. when I press the trailer button on the stick, the motor trims up. can anyone suggest what i need to do to figure out what's wrong with it

Let me know what engine/drive/combo you have and we'll move this to that section. With that said, sounds like a trim limit issue, and it sounds like a Mercruiser . . .

I would start by running the wires and see if you have a pinched wire or disconnect somewhere...that was my problem.

Up and down have seperate relays-try switching relays. I down works replace relay

sounds like the trim limit switch on the outdrive has a broken wire. Otherwise, I would check the conditions of the wiring and contacts at the helm.
