I have a Alpha outdrive gen II, ser#OL417484. The part manual states that both were used for that serial #.
Grey Meritor 805536A2 or Black GKN 865493A01. Mine has been replaced by previous owner with a generic I think.
So I am trying to determine which one to buy.
thanks

OK and your question I think is this acceptable? If this is the question then I would say yes, it will work

Edit: BTW http://www.summitracing.com/parts/axe-1-0134 this is one with fitting

Re: UPDATE of U-Joint that can be purchased at Auto zone

As stated this post was just an update of U-joints. The info in the "adults only" section as well as everything found in this forum is invaluable to us all. I thank all responsible for this free service. I could not service my boat with out it. The reason for the "update". A few of the cross reference part numbers cannot be found at the auto part stores in my area. Also the u-joints are of the grease able kind. The part offered at AZ seems like a excellent part replacement with a excellent price. Maybe if the powers at hand see it fit they might add it to the rest of interchangeable part numbers. I thank everyone for your help.
The rest of my parts will be in soon and Iam sure I will have more questions to get my boat on the water again.
