Hey guys,I needed some opinions over the winter to help get my bow up while cruising without getting prop blowout. The boat is a heavy 280 Regal with a 10ft beam twin 5.0s and alphas.I was running 141/2x17 cupped alum props. When planed off the boat the boat went like a bat out of Heck but ran very level and when I trimmed the drives to get the bow up a little, the props would loose their bite.I just could not get the bow up.What I did was go to 4 blade alum 15x16 props, modify the trim tabs to retract 2 inches more and added doel fins to the drives to help the drives dig down a little while trimming. The result is That things are a little better. The bow still does not come up as high as I might occasionally need it to in the chop but it does come up more than it used to.I may try having the props cupped next. Thanks for the past suggestions.Charlie
