Update on Carb Rebuild

I boat tested the '89 88hp 'Rude today after the carb rebuild (cleaning). To my disappointment I still had a miss at the mid range, then it clears out. I am now wondering if it has something to do with the sync? If it runs good at WOT can the sync still be off? I don't have a tach but it seems fine at WOT. Any ideas?
