Just thought i would post an update on how my new motor is doing. She has about 18 hours on her now and is running great. I wound the motor out to about 4200 rpms yesterday running away from one of Arlens thunderstorms and she was reading a bit over 40 mph going over the flat. Had to run the boat on 89 octane cause on 87 it would diesel abit after being run. The higher octane fuel solved that problem. She allways fires on the 1st shot and hasn't complained once to me. I think this weekend is a good time to give it its 1st oil change. Right now im running straight 30 W as thats what the shop recommended me. I know this is opening up a can of worms but is this too thick for my 3.0 L ? Or since its a continus duty engine thats what they call for.

Thanks for those who helped me get her running.

later,

Big-E
