Hello all,
My original post is Old Deep V Aluminum Boat Project. I found out that my 14 ft alum semi v is not a deep v because i guess it doesn't have enough dead rise from the transom. Anyways, i am new to all of this but wanted to show you my updated pics of this old v bottom that i fixed up for me and the kids to go fishing. I am worried about the weight, because i used 3/4 in acx plywood and 2x2s for the frame. I put a casting deck on the bow, mid section and over the rear transom. I have 3 storage hatches, i in the bow, the mid section and a storage hatch in in the rear over the transom. I am going to test it this weekend. Does anyone know how much weight this adds to a boat. Ive been told that it's going to be fine, but I put so much time and work into it, that it makes me nervous that it may be too heavy. Any advice or feedback will help.
Thanks,
