Updating Old Johnson Throttle Control Box

I have a 93' Johnson 140 V4 with an 80's white johnson control box. This box has the ignition and alarm, along with the usual features. I want to update to a more modern box and change it to a top mount for my center console 69 crestliner.

Any suggestions on which new box to use? And how do I run my ignition and alarm systems in a newer box?

I would suggest you post this in the engine topics forum. They can give you more advice, and you will get more advice in that forum on your particular topic.
Good Luck!

I think the last one I got was a Teleflex, but there are universal binnacles that you can get. Switching from side to top might involve relocating the ignition. Mine did. I also had to run the kill switch.

The electronics are straight forward and you may need longer cables. Also, you'll need to know if your throttle is pull to open or push to open. I think you are push to open. Just be sure.

Good luck.
