Upgrade exhaust manifold?

When we pulled the boat last week I took the manifolds and risers off for a look see. They are questionable so I'm going to replace them.
The question is: I've seen a kit that allows an "upgrade" from the 1988 OMC 5.7 log type to the 1989 and up center riser type manifolds. To replace both the manifolds and risers is expensive and this upgrade adds about $75.00 more. Is it worth it?
Also the GLM brand seems to be the best bargain. But, I'm always suspicious of bargains. Anyone used the GLMs, are they ok?

Of the people that have commented on GLM manifolds, most didn't care for them. I have replaced log style with center risers on half a dozen engines, ALL owners have commented it was the right thing to do.

Ayuh,... Up-grading to center-risers is pretty much a no brainer,... Do it...
As for the GLMs,...
I'm running a set that I had to Adjust, to make work properly...
The Castings are Sloppy,+ the Machine work is Questionable...
It was the Machine work that needed Adjusting on mine...
