The old style power steering actuator on my Bayliner had finally gone belly up. I am seeking input from people on what alternatives they have used to replace either the actuator or move to a full hydraulic steering system. The old actuator was a dual station control and one of the old style cast iron dual rams attached to a Bravo III outdrive. Since they apparently don't make these dual ram actuators any more, the question is what to do? Is there a new style single-ram designed for the dual station controls, or do I need to move to the hydraulic steering system. If the answer is a hydraulic system, could someone point me to the particular system they used and any issues they ran into?

Thanks all for you replies.

Oh and you can add another station to these kits and they only have one ram, two helms, easy to install if you are mechanically inclined
