This sounds in-line with the "Honda to Harley" conversion service (joke) I once heard about. This is from back in the day when AMF owned Harley....

They take your Honda motorcycle, ride it around for 50K miles, punch some holes in the muffler and assorted gaskets, and loosen a few bolts - then give it back to you.

Now it's cranky, hard to start, loud, leaks, and stuff falls off..

Haven't heard that one in a while. Things have changed for the better...
