This is a seat from a 2007 270 Chaparral Signature. Simple question..Anyone know how this is fastened down? I took the speaker out underneath it thinking it was bolted down. No access there. There is a recessed area just before the seat for cooler storage which I removed and found no access there. I’ve seen older car door panels that had a plastic ribbed fastener that held them in place. Don’t want to force this loose..Any help would be appreciated...

I am not familiar with your setup, but maybe a guess will help.

Can you get to the rear of the seat back? Perhaps from the engine compartment?
If so, maybe there are screws back there to remove the seat back first, then maybe after removing the seat back you'll have access to the screws for the seat bottom. Maybe those screws are hidden by the seat back. Maybe some type of angle brackets?

All guessing on my part, but I hope this helps.

I'm really surprised there isn't accessible storage under that seat. Well, it is what it is....

Appreciate the suggestion. I haven’t climbed to the engine compartment for this issue but I will. Thank you!

Hopefully people with the same model boat will see this. The seat in question was glued to the fiberglass. It looked as if it was OEM. I stuck a thin pry bar under it figuring the seat was old to begin with so if it tore it up nothing lost. Got it out and recovered it..all good…
