Does anyone have any experience uploading waypoints and routes to their GPS from a PC? I recently purchased the ICOM GP360 ML. I thought it had this feature but I am having trouble addressing the unit.

Never did it with a ICOM, Tony.

Do it routinely with my Garmin, but it took a while to learn and get comfortable with the Garmin Mapsource software.

Good luck. :)

You may try looking for some freeware or shareware on the web. There are several free ones for Garmin, probably some for yours as well.

FreeBeeTony

Yes, mine has a serial cable that connects to my garmin. Bought it off E-bay cheap. Seems easy enough to me to do. I upload everything when I go to a lake that I have been to before. Espicially large lakes! Takes a while to upload if you have alot of data, though. Kinda slow. Sure is nice to know where and where not to go. Not to mention Marinas for fuel! In the dark, it's invaluable!

Nobeltec will upload to my Garmin76. Waypoints and routes only. It had protocols for lots of different brands of GPS, I'm sure it could do an ICOM as well. Unless I get a lapotop, I'm stuck doing route planning at home but I bring paper charts as well for if I want to change plans underway.
