Re: upper and lower bearings

The upper bearing housing just slides off the crank. You have to press the bearing in and out of the housing. The lower comes off with any standard puller.

Thanks Dhadley for the quick reply, does it help to heat the upper casing before trying to remove the upper beaaring?

No heat required. The housing and bearing will fall off the crank if youre not careful. The bearing will press out of the housing easily.

Just make sure you have the replacement before hand.

Re: upper and lower bearings

hello
to replace the upper bearing I just heat it with the tourch some and making sure the bearing is correctly oreinted it will drop in place. the bottom bearing I heat in a toaster oven to about 250*F and it will slide back on. make sure you orient the bearing properly.
usually I dont replace the upper unless it shows signs of damage but always replace the lower.
