upper gear housing swap

I have a 350 Mag with Alpha 1 gen 1. I am replacing the upper gear housing with a used unit. When I put my gear assemblies in, does it need to be reshimmed? Since I don't have the right tools for this, I would have to take it to a mechanic; how many hours of labor should I expect to pay for this? The upper unit would be taken to them only? Or should I take the whole drive?

Yes, it needs reshimmed.
Resealed and reshimmed, approx. 4 hours.
