I am thinking about doing a long block repower for my 7.4L/Bravo 1 (300 HP). US Engines seems to have a really nice looking price for a long block with over 100 more horsepower and 25% less fuel. Now I build my own race engines for circle track racing, and typically, the more HP, the more fuel burn, and the more cost to build. Has anyone bought one of these engines? Is US Engines a reliable company? I ran the cost out for me to build a 425 hp big block and they can't be very profitable for what they're charging for a long block? Any input?

Re: US Engines (Pros/Cons)

Do some Google searching for the BBB file on the company . . . Like "US Engines BBB"

there are a couple of companies that go by "US Engine" or "US Engines", so you will have to figure out if you got the right one.

There is one out in Kent, WA . . . and I believe there are some interesting comments on the web.

It seems like rebuilt marine engines are a "roll of the dice". Sometimes they work out and sometimes not.
