In December Bennington management decided to get proactive with the current situation in the boating industry and started a letter writing campaign to our local congressmen as well as key members of congress and the President.
This letter was also sent to all the members of our buying coop, about 23 companies as well as our suppliers.
Yesterday we hosted a meeting with Senator Donnelly and several key people in the local boating and RV buisneses, Godfrey, Starcraft and Southbay presidents as well as dealers and others were there to voice there opinions of what needs to be done to get our industry back on track, mainly freeing up credit.
And no we didn't ask for a bail out, only that whatever can be done to free up credit is done soon.
I personnaly think between this and a buck I can get a can of pop but it is nice to know we are at least on the radar.
