I have a question for everyone, with a request attached. Here's the question:<br /><br />Do you plan to do anything special for the troops when they get home?<br /><br />I help moderate a sportsmen's web site that serves the SE US. We have started a Take a Soldier Fishing effort to get these fine men and women out on the water for a day of fishing. It's the least we can do. This is a quote from the main organizer which details our efforts so far:<br /><br />
It would be nice if we could get this going all over the country. A lot of the people who volunteered are professional guides who are giving up a day that they could be bring out paying customers, but they realize that you cannot put a price on the sacrifices that our troops endure to protect our freedom to use our boats, and everything else, when we want.<br /><br />You don't even have to take them fishing. Take them on a cruise, or tubing, or for a day at Peanut Island.<br /><br />What do you say. Who would be willing to organize the effort in your particular area? <br />Who will sign up to show our appreciation for our troops.
