Used aviation sealant on shiny gasket

Guess it was getting late. Will the seal hold or will there be a reaction causing a leak?

Don't know. Never tried it. Probably just defeated the intended seal.

i used a sierra set on my 150 ,had warped head had to pull back off
i reused the sierra gasket i know bad idea . put aviation sealant on it
torqued in sequence , good to go ,im not saying run your motor with it
but mine sealed , iwas uncomfortable with it so i pulled it

My manual called for sealer on head gaskets. They weren't shiny like the plate gasket. The only way I realized it was that I ordered two by mistake and looked at the other while cleaning up.
