I have a 1994 Tracker Nitro 170DC Rick Clunn Edition Bass Boat. It is a theft recovery. I have the hull, which is in excellent condition and the trailer. The 125 HP motor and the batteries and charging system are gone. I had the boat at a brokerage house and it was stolen. Unfortunately, I did not have insurance on it and am still paying for it. Does anyone have any idea of how much what I have left would be worth?

I'm not sure about your question, but let me ask you one; Why didn't you have insurance on this thing? For the few dollars a year it costs it's the safest investment out there. What would you do if you hit somebody out on the water? I feel for you man, but I'd hate to say it; you were asking for it with no insurance. That's a real pisser!

When I had it at the brokerage house, I wasn't using it. I only used it two summers and had insurance on it while I was using it. I never thought it would be stolen from a brokerage house. There were two other brokered boats stolen the same night. I think it was an inside job, but the police have not found anything to prove it, and the brokerage is out of business. You're right, it is a pisser.

If your still paying on it, are you not required to carry insurance just like a new car? That sucks that even the brokerage house folded, because you could have held their insurance responsible. Are you sure it's too late to go after them?

Go to www.nada.com and it should let you look up the boat price there.

If that does not work, call a bank or credit union, and ask them what the boat is worth.
