OK, I have Googled and I have searched, but I can only find one boat salvage here in South Florida: Hardline Marine. Any suggestions?

We have a couple places I frequent here, a little over 100 miles from you. One is a surpluss store with alot of used parts and the other is a consignment shop.

The "worlds largest nautical flea market".....so they call it...in Dania should be starting soon.

If there is anything you are specifically looking for, NetDoc? I will gladly keep an eye out for it.

Also look for deals on the net with cheap or free shipping. You can get new for just a little over used prices.

Here you go http://www.daniamarinefleamarket.com/ Next month.

Everything imagineable there......and some things you can't imagine.

I bought the lady a pink rod and reel last year....now they have one that the reel flickers a pink light when reeling. Maybe I'll see ya there, I'll be the one carrying the pink stuff.

Thanks sasto, I have already marked my calendar, don't know which of the four days I'll be there, but at least one for sure...prolly Saturday or Sunday...although I might just skip work altogether and spend Thursday and Friday there, too...
I better start paying down my cards and hoarding my cash...looks like I could easily blow a serious wad there..

PS-NetDoc, when I'm ready to go, I'll pm ya, if that's OK. If you are still looking for the cooler seat or anything else, you can let me know and I'll be glad to look...

Thanks for keeping this alive guys!

Cbavier: I haven't seen this kind of seat on a pontoon boat. I have seen it on many center console boats.

Sasto: I don't have any events scheduled for that weekend (classes or Dive Shows) so I'll try to keep it open to come and look. They have a big one in the Keys every year, and I'll be at the Texas Dive Show during that one. :D

GT1000000: Thanks and please DO contact me when it starts to roll around!

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, this is what I am looking for:

It's a Flip Flop Seat. There are a bunch of marine flea markets down here (up here?). Just went to one in Ft. Lauderdale, and there was one in West Palm last week. Dania is coming up!!!!

Check Sailorman in Fort Lauderdale. Sometimes new and sometimes old. They have a "salvage" yard in the rear. I have also seen what you are looking for on Craigslist--just narrow your search so you don't get all the other junk.

There's a bunch of places in Key Largo with salvage and such...junk laying around, abandoned boats... I am surprised you haven't found them.

Netdoc or GT or any other south fla boys....if you want to get together and hang out at Dania, I'm game as well. Just PM me and we will go and later...maybe beer and burgers. :)

Obviously iboats doesn't like "*********" What are they afraid of? A little competition? Sometimes one business will have something iboats doesn't have or any other marine store. West Marine doesn't carry everything iboats carries or vice verse.

South FLA boys - Check out this CL link

I just spoke with the guy. He is moving his storage yard and has a boat load (sorry) of "things." He was telling me about a 30' Searay with new gel coat, crated twin 350 engines, all new parts, etc. that just needs to be put together...$10K. Lot's of other stuff. I am going to try and get by later today or tomorrow to check it out. His number is in the ad and seems like a friendly sort.

If my weekend doesn't get too hecktic, I am going to give him a call and go by...Maybe somethin will stick

And IDHaN, If we can hook up at the Dania show, that would be Kool!...we'll keep in touch...

And, Yes NetDoc, I will holler at you when the time rolls around, thanks for the pic of the seat...I take it that since you are looking for second hand, you are willing to re-upholster/re-furbish if it is the right price???

Went and looked at it...trailer not included, but he said he could add one in for about 3200.00

Seems like a good deal, on the surface, but would really need a thorough inspection...
The two engines are mercruiser 5.7L supposedly still in their crates at another site...
And all of the boats parts are supposed to be in an enclosed trailer right behind the boat...
The gel-coat seems to have been recently redone, but only from th rub rail to the water line, it needs to be cut and buffed...below the waterline, the bottom paint is partially removed in preparation for recoating...
The upper deck seemed OK, but I did NOT climb onboard...
Most everything that can be removed has been...

Story is the owner moved to California, has over 12K in it, can't afford to ship it, can't afford to keep paying the storage...
MJ, the Manager/Proprietor of the yard, said the owner told him that if he could get the 10K for it, to sell it...

IF, and that's a BIG IF, everything is as he says it is, and the actual deck and hull are sound, and all the necessary parts are there to complete the boat...my best guess is that a cash offer of no more than 7-9K WITH a trailer, would be a real good deal...I am going to check with my buddy who has the cash available and tell him to offer the guy 5K and see what develops...

I honestly believe that it could be a nice project, that will take between 5-10K, maybe less, prolly more??? to put back in pristine shape...IF all of the above is true...

And, in the end, if you can get it for low dollars, and find that its not worth it to restore, and the engines are what he says they are, you could prolly break even on them alone, not to mention all the other salvageable parts....

He has other boats available, and they are all for sale...he is moving, but it will take a while...He is definitely looking to unload as much inventory as he can, before he has to move everything...

If anything develops in the next few days, I'll let y'all know...

I thought you was looking for a Flip back seat for your pontoon or did you hijack the original post? Or am I missing something? I might have gotten lost in the shuffle?
