Help! I'm looking for help in finding what would be a fair price for a Sea Nymph, 17'alluminum boat, 1984 with 40 horse Evinrude motor, Very good shape. I tried search on the web and found this web. I'd appreciate help in leading me in the right direction.
Thank you.

Wish I could help. You could try this web sites "Boating Classifieds" and try to find something comparable.
g'luck & c/6
hooty

Re: Used boats.

Prodow,

I am currently restoring a 1983 16' Sea Nymph AL Bass Boat with a 90 Rude. The hull is in great shape and the engine appears to be OK. It's sitting on a nice trailer (Shore Land'r).

I gave $1,000.00 for it, simply because of it's potential. Unless this unit is absolutely pristine I wouldn't think it would be worth anything over $1,500.00. That's with a proven good engine. See it run!

By the way, Sea Nymph has merged with Lowe.

I've been around alot of Sea Nymphs. They were well built boats. Take a good look at the bottom. If it has alot of dents-pass on it. The dents tend to loosen the rivets. If the bottom is straight, you'll be OK.

Also, check the transom. They were wood encapsulated by AL. Knock on it with the back of your hand. If it does not give a sharp knocking sound-it's rotten. Sort of like the sound made by knocking on a solid wood door.
