used outboards?

I live in upstate new york and have been looking for a newer used(year 2000 and up) 100 to 150hp johnson or evinrude outboard but it has prooved to be near impossible. does anyone know of a dealer in upstate New york or even upstate vermont that may have some used outboards in stock or even a trustworthy web site? every marina I have checked so far has told me that they either do not deal in outboards anymore or that they have no used inventory!!!!!!

I got a 2002 Mercury 125 from Palm Beach Outboards
Shipping from FLA to Jersey was under $300 and the service was great
They seem to be fairly reputable and I'm happy as a bug with with my motor
I did the same thing as you before buying,
searched everywhere locally and came up with the same replies as you
Seems like no one wants to sell used outboards anymore

Check H Chalk and Son, Fishers Landing NY. over 50 years in business.
I think Evinrude and Yamaha.they have a web site.

While not exactly next door, this dealer will have "fresh water" motors and would probably ship anywhere.

I happened to talk to Dwane Chalk today He said he had several motors 115 and 150

I too have had great success with ebay and craigslist. I bought my 1999 Merc 2.5hp from there for $318 shipped.
